Environmental Internship with Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company

We are currently seeking applicants to work on our environmental remediation project located on the Hudson River. The Site Engineering Technician Interns are exposed to multiple facets of our dredging projects with responsibilities for production reporting, safety, and quality control. Our Engineering staff is part of a greater team whose goals are to safely and efficiently manage our dredging and reclamation efforts. We are currently looking for engineers to fill Summer Internship positions in support of our Site Engineering staff. The intern duties include, but are not limited to:
 Ensuring a safe work environment during all operations and tasks
 Land and hydrographic surveying for construction management purposes
 Dredge production monitoring
 Daily dredge and quality control reporting
 General support

This is an hourly position compensated at $14.50/hr. and you will receive 1.5 times hourly pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Work hours are variable and dependent on Engineering staff and project needs / requirements. Work requires a 6-day per week schedule and typically 8 to 12 hours per day. The Project Engineer may, when necessary, require different schedules or positions fulfilled. The summer internship starts in mid-May and continues until the end of August.
